Dues are $15.00 annually****Hiking and Trail Guidelines: ** Be courteous & stay behind the leader unless directed otherwise.** Offer $.15/mile to driver when carpooling. * *In the event of inclement weather, the hike may be canceled.** Please leave your pets at home.**If unable to keep a club commitment, please find a replacement. * Wear blaze orange during hunting season (Sept 1 to last day of Feb). * Appropriate footwear and attire should match the type of hike.** If you leave the hike early, notify the hike leader or ask someone to do that for you.** Bring water and food as the hike description and weather demand.* * Hiking involves risk. Thursday September 24, 2026 - THE BIG WOODS TRAIL

4 miles

Hikers will be led on a 2.5 mile hike down the Big Woods Trail to the Schuylkill River Trail and then on to Union Meadows. There will be a stop to sit and view Monocacy Hill from Clyde Godshall’s bench, which is located midway down the trail. An optional extension of the hike either around the Union Meadows Loop Trail or onto the Schuylkill River Trail will be available for those wishing a longer hike. There will be a shuttle to the top of the Big Woods trail to begin the hike.

MEET & TIME: 10:00 A.M. at Union Meadows parking lot, 1281 E Main St, Douglasville PA

GPS: 1281 E. Main St., Douglasville, PA

DIRECTIONS: Head east on route 724 from Birdsboro. After passing the intersection with route 345, go roughly another .9 mile and turn left behind Fork and Ale Restaurant on route 724.
