Saturday February 21, 2026 - HIKE UPDATE - MUHLENBERG RAIL TRAIL replacement hike - Pinnacle Hike is cancelled

Previously listed hike is cancelled by leader. See replacement hike below for Saturday:

– 4 miles, plowed and paved

We will lead a 4-mile hike on the Muhlenberg Rail Trail. This is a flat walk from one end to the other, then retrace our steps. Hikers can turn around early if they like. The rail to trail has been plowed by the township and should be walkable. Bring ice walkers just in case but we will probably not need them.

After a couple of blocks, turn right onto either 7th Ave or 8th Ave. Go one block then turn left onto Mt Laurel Rd. Cross Kutztown Rd, proceed 1-2 blocks, and the trailhead is on the right.

Going north on Kutztown Road from Reading: Take Kutztown Road going north, make a right onto Mount Laurel Road (Tlacuani mexican restaurant is on the far-right corner of the intersection), proceed 1-2 blocks, and the trailhead is on the right.
