Approx. 5 moderate miles
This will be a hike around the perimeter of Leaser Lake just over the northern Berks Line in Lehigh County. We will walk through terrain varying from open fields to deep woods to marshy areas. This area is especially suited to spotting many different bird and wild flower species. The new bridge over the dam spillway is installed, so no more having to find a way around that obstacle! Lunch at C.J. Hummels afterwards.
Meeting place: 9:30 am, parking area down Pleasure Ct.
Directions: I 78 East to Exit 35, Left turn onto Rt. 143N in Lenhartsville, drive about 8 miles, make a left hand turn onto Pleasure Court, just before the large stone church in Jacksonville (about a mile past Wanamaker’s General Store)
GPS: Pleasure Court, Kempton 19529
For more information or directions, contact: 610-921-3252 or 610-451-5380 on the morning of the hike
