We call ourselves "The Eating Club with a Hiking Disorder"! ****Hiking and Trail Guidelines: ** Be courteous & stay behind the leader unless directed otherwise.** Offer $.10/mile to driver when carpooling. * *In the event of inclement weather, the hike may be canceled.** Please leave your pets at home.**If unable to keep a club commitment, please find a replacement. * Wear blaze orange during hunting season (Sept 1 to last day of Feb). * Appropriate footwear and attire should match the type of hike.** If you leave the hike early, notify the hike leader or ask someone to do that for you.** Bring water and food as the hike description and weather demand.* * Hiking involves risk. Come out prepared and know your capabilities. Each hiker is responsible for their own safety and well-being.

Saturday January 31, 2026 - FRENCH CREEK / HOPEWELL

 - Approx. 6.9 miles, moderate

We will hike across Route 345 from Shed Road parking lot on green Lenape Trail and continue around the campground on blue Boone trail, then Orange with green trail to the Orange to Six Penny Lake loop. This is a lollipop hike at approximately 6.9 miles. We will be on the yellow Horseshoe Trail going East for a little while. Bad snow covered and/ or icy roads with freezing temperatures cancels. Dress appropriately with spikes if trail is snow or ice covered, but roads are ok. This hike will take 4 hours or more; some hills, some historic lake & bathhouse views and beautiful 6 Penny creek. Bring water & snacks (or eat a big breakfast.) Late Lunch at a nearby restaurant afterwards for those interested. Annamarie’s, Vincenzo’s, or Italian Delight. Wear Orange

MEET & TIME: 10:00 am – Shed Road Parking Area on Route 345, 1028 Shed Rd., Douglasville, PA

DIRECTIONS:  Take Route 345 south from Birdsboro. Take a left turn onto Shed Rd, turn into parking area on the left.
