Saturday April 17, 2010 - Turkey Hill Trail

6 miles

This will be a loop hike, the first part will be on the Turkey Hill Trail which goes past some farms, through wooded areas, up and down several hills with some views of the Susquehanna River. Then we will descend to an old railroad bed and return along a level trail next to the river. A small amount of bushwhacking will be required. For those who would like an easier pace, a walk out and back along the river is an option. We will plan to stop to eat on the way back for those interested. Drive is approximately 45 minutes from the meeting place. Trail is located near Washington Boro in Lancaster County.

Meeting place: 9:00 am, Ollie’s parking lot (closed Giant and AC Moore); intersection of business Rts 222 & 724, Lancaster Avenue, Shillington
