BCHC is a hiking club that is located in Berks County, PA. The club was first organized in the Fall of 1921. This is the official club site. We list weekly hikes that range from short easy strolls to strenuous hikes. The type of hike depends on the leaders that volunteer to fill our quarterly schedules. This site lists some of the recent scheduled weekly Saturday hikes.

Follow Doug through State Game Lands in Vinemont. This hike will be on trails and roads, with some steep short trails. Eat afterwards, of course!

Join us for an ALL DAY EVENT, near Wilkes-Barre, and see this outstanding geological phenomenon featuring seven large “potholes” or “tubs” with an additional stop at a waterfall. If time permits we can also visit and walk around a reservoir. Carry water, snacks and wear hiking boots. Restaurant stop afterwards.

Brenda will lead a 7 mile hike on trails south of Rt. 183. This hike has up and down hills; nothing steep and there is a chance of seeing some spring flowers in the Fox Lake section.
